Nominate an Outstanding Educator
An outstanding teachers deserves something exceptional. The Premier's Awards for Teaching Excellence recognize Ontario's outstanding teachers. If yhou know an extraordinary teacher, please submit your nomination by January 28, 2008.

Online Survey on Inclusive Education
The Canadian Association for Community LIving has developed an online survey to gather information on inclusive education (and it should only take about 7 minutes to complete!). In order to paint a truly national picture, it is important that we have strong representation from families in Ontario. With this in mind, families with school aged children are encouraged to follow the link below and to share their views. In order for the sample to be useful, it is important that there is participation from many families by October 31, 2007!

Connections is a self-help manual on transition planning written
specifically for parents - to help them plan and make decisions
for the future that are right for them, their child and their family.
There is a lot of information in Connections - how to develop a
transition plan, suggestions for building a child’s self-reliance
skills, ways to access adult services in the communities in Central
West Region, timelines for applying for programs and suggestions
for parents to connect with other parents to make this process more
